Magnus started photography at an early age, growing up in Iceland. At 13, one of his photos won him a year’s supply of Ilford black and white photo paper and chemicals. While this set his eye for black and white work, over the years he has experimented with other photography techniques.

He has worked with many genres (dance/theatre, fine-art nude, landscapes/nature, cityscapes, and street), but ultimately, he keeps returning to the challenge of capturing “a sense of place” for his environment. Having now lived most of his life in the Boston area, the result is an extensive portfolio of images from his commutes and rambles through the area’s multifaceted streets, parks, and cityscapes.
